At this very moment It is becoming clear Oh, this very minute I am right here Days have been so foggy Now I’m really alive Breathing air, I feel it And you’re by my side (Chorus) This is the closest to the top that I have ever been This is the closest to the top that I have ever been So don’t you dare leave me now Don’t you dare leave me now It’s been such a long road Asleep, walking alone Have you felt me changing Since I took you home At this very moment Running, chasing night Awake and I feel it Alive, it’s so right (Chorus) Perhaps it was you || or the fresh air Perhaps it was you || or the fresh air Perhaps it was you || or the fresh air This is the closest to the top that I have ever been This is the closest to the top that I have ever been So don’t you dare leave me now Don’t you dare leave me now Don’t you dare leave me now This is the closest to the top that I have ever been

Place in a plain envelope and address Take to the system and send on their way I send you all the packets But they never come back Incoming connection, do I allow? I let it through and see what will arrive I send you all the packets But they never come back In the end it doesn’t matter to me

Stirred by a broken chord The notes descend to Words I have heard before The tones unending Whisper of a poetry A chain of words repeating endlessly There is no tangle in the circuitry No disagreement in the guarantee Tender these amenities Crafting new identities Shadowing our dormant minds Solitude is how we hide Once more you can begin You listen to the Sounds as they pull within And multiply this
5.
You put my heart Inside of your shoe (your shoe) And when you move I’m black and blue (ooo ooo) Well he’s so dry Ill set you free (you free) When you’re getting close I know you see me (ooo ooo) We’re falling into place (Falling into place) Don’t cry it’s not too late (Cry it's not too late) It’s all for you All that I do (I do) One day, you’ll see You’re made for me We will make up For this lost time (lost time) The hill is high It’s worth the climb (ooo ooo) We’re falling into place (Falling into place) Don’t cry it’s not too late (Cry it's not too late) It feels good to say this to you We both know that it's true When you leave, come to me I'll be waiting, you'll see, you'll see We’re falling into place (Falling into place) Don’t cry it’s not too late (Cry it's not too late)
6.
Do you feel like it’s gone too fast? Do you feel like it just won’t last? Sunday, some day Do you see the sun going down? Do you see the world spinning ‘round? Sunday, some day Feels like we will all just fall apart Day ends and tomorrow’s gonna hurt x 2 Do you wish you could close your eyes? And you know that the mirror lies? Sunday, some day Do you see when it’s getting late Just remind us of our own fate? Sunday, some day Feels like we will all just fall apart Day ends and tomorrow’s gonna hurt
7.
Hold me darling in the night We can hold each other till we die And make our lives seem so right While we lie here naked in the night I will hold the knife while you cry And I'll give you pleasure all the time You can be on top if you'd like For our last night alive When they find our bodies we'll be cold But our love will grow on in our bones And though tears will be shed we don't care We don't care Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead Cause we're dead

I love to watch you as you rise To see your skin touched by the morn To feel your warmth upon my face And lay beneath the coming dawn You never promised me the moon And still I wrapped you up in stars You disappeared without a trace Left your fingerprints in my scars And I will wait forever Now that you know When I open my eyes in the morning The first thing I want to know The first thing I want to touch…feel Is your soft glow And I will wait forever Now that you know
10.
One of these days You will come searching for me One of these days You will find that I'm gone One of these days I will find something to replace you One of these days Maybe But now I've been let go And though this thing I know It's hard to find comfort in this One of these days You will be a name I don't remember One of these days I won't dream your smile One of these days I won't feel the ghost of your kisses One of these days Hopefully But now I've been let go And though this thing I know It's hard to find comfort in this But still Now I want you But still Now You don't want me Now One of these days It will come crashing down on you One of these days You will feel the loss One of these days I will be a page you turn back to But on that day That page will be empty But now you go on with your life Unaware that you were my life And I find no comfort In this But still Now I want you But still Now You don't want me Now One of these days One of these days One of these days One of these days

Full Circle - Commonwealth Women Up front.

An idea born out of our Indie Music Boston SoundCloud group. 10 tracks of solo artists and bands with a female voice up front. Quiet introspective lo-fi folk, lush dream pop, surfy rock, fuzzed out guitars and synths. Amazing vocals start to finish. 10 artists you've probably never heard of, but should. And a seriously serendipitous thematic thread of time and space:

Dear time,

Can we just pretend, that you forgot to tell us there was a beginning and an end? Let us go off into the sunrise having left nothing behind, so that we may be held struck later, awed and surprised, as her sister sunset arrives. Forget that you gave us remember and expect. So that we make take every moment, without regret. To know not how to wait, or to pine for the end of a day, not realizing that in those moments we’re wishing our very lives away. To never feel the sadness of age, the imminence of parting, the paradox of knowing, what a wild and unexplainable game. Though of course there’s a beauty, crucial undeniably. To dream of what could be, endless possibility, the recollection of blissful memory. There is a truth in this contrast, knowing nothing can last, sometimes good, and sometimes bad. I suppose all we can do, is to learn to surrender, to that never to be found answer. Ironies never to be lost on me, but let’s laugh instead, while we also learn to take our selves less seriously.
